Welcome to Mudita’s Resource Center. This part of our website is home to a collection of articles and infographics aimed at supporting your self-learning process.
You may have landed on this website with specific questions in mind and a certain degree of both awareness and interest in cultural diversity, but even if this is not the case, kindly note that I am just one click away and always happy to have a chat and introduce you to such a fascinating topic. So, how can you make the most of this collection? Let’s find out!
The purpose of the blog posts is to put the theory behind cultural dimensions in perspective, approach current issues and global developments from a “culturally informed” point of view, and provide practical, real-life examples of how cultural differences can affect human interactions.
The purpose of the infographics is to summarize the concepts behind the blog posts, with regard to both Cultural Dimensions (what) and Culture Clusters (who/where).
For example:
This article on time management can be complemented with an overview of Monochronic and Polychronic Time (What does time orientation mean, and what exactly do the terms monochronic and polychronic mean?), a course on Time Management Across Different Cultures , and a further overview of the world culture clusters (Which world societies are monochronic/polychronic? What other cultural traits define those societies?). With regard to Culture Clusters, please note that, at first glance, it may seem that the description of cultural traits is repeated across different clusters with little tweaks here and there; in fact, the number of cultural dimensions is limited, but they are all assigned different meanings depending on the specific (local) context. These variations are generally discussed in depth in the blog posts. If you require additional information or support, please get in touch!
